Our Instructors

Julian Ferrera

Julian has been playing drums for 16 years and it is his true passion. He has been in jazz bands, marching bands, concert percussion ensembles, pit orchestras, and full sized bands and orchestras. He also frequents the Fort Collins music scene as a rock drummer and percussionist for a bunch of local bands, and is an advocate for promoting the growth of local music and helping local musicians.

Lorna Floyd

lorna-floyd

My name is Lorna Floyd, I am the Music Director for TPAAK and absolutely love working with your children.  I have been here since 2010.  I’m also the after school woodwind instructor for our school.  I have a degree in Music from Fort Lewis College in Durango.  I’ve also studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

I offer group and private instruction on flute, clarinet and saxophone to our students every day after school.  Contact me for rates and availability.  I promise to make it affordable for you; I really want to see our band grow!  Let’s get started, shall we?

Ron Forte

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in Boston and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. I’ve been playing trumpet professionally since 1967. In my earlier days, I was fortunate to have played in bands that opened for Ike & Tina Turner, Tommy James & the Shondells and Bobby Rydell. I also played trumpet on five different cruise lines in their show bands. These cruise lines included, Holland America Costa, Chandris Fantasy Cruise Line, Commodore Cruise Line and Sea Escape.

Meggy Mofield

Hello, my name is Meggy Mofield.  I have a bachelor’s degree in music performance with emphasis on classical guitar.  My style of teaching comes from a broad classical background, as I am a classical music enthusiast!  I also teach most genres and styles of guitar.  Acoustic finger picking style is my current favorite type of music to play.

When I am not playing music, you can always find me outdoors in our beautiful state of Colorado.  I enjoy hiking, biking camping, kayaking, paddle boarding and traveling around our stunning mountains.
