TR Paul Academy of Arts & Knowledge, Young Curators chosen by Janus to purchase art at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival

A special congratulations to the following Schools selected to purchase artwork for the Mobile Art Gallery in addition to their school purchase:

Discover the art of buying art during a special presentation at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. On Sunday, July 3rd at 1pm, Janus invites you to look, listen and learn as participants from your school in the 2011 Janus Student Art Buying Program present their art-buying experiences to a panel of experts and a public audience. Students will describe why and how they selected their art using funds and resources provided by Janus. The art they acquired will be on temporary display during their presentation and permanently installed at the students’ school afterward.

For students, this event is the culmination of significant research and reflection. For Janus, it is the opportunity to see how its investment in the arts is influencing the lives of students across Colorado.

Congratulations to Tessa Marquardt-Burrell!

Tessa was an 8th grader at T.R. Paul Academy in 2009-10 and was selected as one of 40 regional winners in the “Doodle 4 Google” national art competition, which had more than 33,000 entries from students in grades K-12.
